Mongolian Spots (2) Mongolian spots are bluish-green pigmented areas of skin that may be found on the buttocks, sacrum, back, and actually anywhere on the body of a child from an Asian, Mediterranean, or Latin background. They have no significance as far as relatedness to disease, but should be documented on medical records so as not to be confused for bruises.
