The most important goal is to avoid isolation. Children should have as much physical and social contact as possible. The child top center is lying alone in a white room, in a white crib with white sheets. There is not stimulation for this child at all. The child below is having a massage in a Russian baby home. This provides tactile stimulation as well as social contact and enhances normal development. |
